ARMPOCKET AMBASSADOR: LAEL D.

Hi, My name is Lael. I'm a runner, supervisor, humom, disnerd, and all around life loving kind of gal. I have been running for almost 5 years and celebrated my “Runniversary” (albeit a bit early) at the Walt Disneyworld Marathon Weekend in January 2018. Oddly enough, this event is also where I discovered Armpocket (Best. Invention. Ever.).

I run for many reasons, but I ran a road race, so I could run at Disney (Tinkerbell 10k in 2014), I ran a marathon so I could run at Disney (Walt Disneyworld Marathon 2015 and Goofy 2016), so I suppose you could say I run for Disney. Truthfully, I run for my very busy, 12 year old husky lab, Stitch Monster. He goes where humom goes, and helped me train for my first marathon believe it or not!

In 2018, I finally accomplished the Dopey Challenge, it is the biggest accomplishment in my life thus far and it was a wish, then a dream, then a goal, and then reality. I worked really hard to make a dream come true, and am still riding that high! For this year, I do have plans to run the Revel Kulia Full, the GO! STL Half, and the KC Half. I’d like to set my sights on new PRs in the half distance and spend time building for a solid marathon training cycle.
