ARMPOCKET AMBASSADOR: KATE M.

Hi, my name is Kate. I am the retail manager for Raw Threads Athletics and live in sunny Orlando, Florida. I was not a runner when I was younger. I grew up in Texas being active and playing many sports like softball, basketball, and volleyball. I graduated from high school in 2002 and went to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. I played volleyball as an outside hitter and earned a degree in health and fitness management. After graduating from college and moving to Orlando, I felt the need to get back into a competitive sport. So, I began running. I started by signing up for a few 5ks and in 2013 I completed my first half marathon, the Walt Disney World Half Marathon. After running my first 13.1miles I was hooked and I have now run 36 half marathons from Orlando to California. A special highlight was running the Inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon in 2016. When I attended one of the RunDisney Health and Fitness Expos, I discovered Armpocket and made my first purchase. Once I got it and used it on my first run I was hooked. Ever since then, Armpocket is the only running armband that I use. Each time I upgrade my phone, I upgrade to a new Armpocket! For the past five years I have also been a Track Shack Fanatic, which consists of running six races from August to March in the Orlando area.
