Here at Armpocket, we believe that it is up to us to do OUR part to preserve and protect the environment, to ensure its beauty for many more years to come! Since we started in 2006, we have re-purposed more than 3 million plastic bottles from landfills and the ocean by using fabrics made from recycled plastic (rPET)!
March - October is sea turtle nesting season, and as a South Florida company, our endangered sea turtles are some of our favorite wildlife. Not only are sea turtles pretty cute, they are also an important keystone species that many other species rely on for their own survival. They keep coral reef sponge and jellyfish populations in check, and nutrients from turtle eggshells also support dune vegetation, which helps to prevent beach erosion.
Every day, the choices we make damage the environment in which our sea turtles live; ocean pollution, over fishing for the meat, egg, and shell trade, increased coastal development that threatens nesting grounds, global warming that impacts nest health and migratory patterns, and entanglement in discarded fishing gear and plastic debris.
In an effort to support our beautiful native turtle species, we donated 10% of every sale* during our Earth Day campaign
to our local nature center. We are so proud to lend a hand to these vital ocean species and hope to continue our relationship with local conservation programs for many more years to come!

Shop Eco-Friendly ArmbandsYour Armpocket purchases during our campaign helped us to provide care and rehabilitation to dozens of sea turtle hatchlings in need!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
For every $25 we raised, we were able to adopt one sea turtle hatchling from our local nature center, Gumbo Limbo. These conservation efforts improve the overall population of endangered sea turtles, and help to create a healthier ecosystem for all coastal and marine life.
We paid a visit to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to make our donation and they are doing wonderful work! Sea turtles who have been hit by boats, attacked by sharks, afflicted with infections, or otherwise not yet able to be released back into the wild are given the star treatment here while they're being nursed back to health.
Each purchase of an eco-friendly armband during our campaign resulted in a 10% donation toward these efforts, and we want to thank all who participated for being awesome supporters of our wildlife!

We recycle plastic bottles from the ocean and landfills and turn them into running armbands.
Every year, millions of marine animals – like sea turtles, seals, dolphins, and whales – are harmed by ocean plastic pollution. At least 8.8 million tons of plastic are dumped into oceans and waterways every year. At current rates, oceans worldwide will contain one ton of plastic for every three tons of fish by 2025. And by 2050, it is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish*
That’s why we make our Armpocket armbands using rPET, a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. Since our beginning in 2006, Armpocket has repurposed more than 3 million plastic bottles by using this fabric. Our mission is to motivate individuals to live an active lifestyle all while helping support the planet, ocean and all animals.
